Annual Dermoscopy Bowl at the 2023 AAD

How does it work?
US residency programs compete against one another on providing the correct diagnosis based on seeing dermoscopic images displayed on a screen in DermLite AAD booth 1928. Sign up now
- Teams can have up to 4 live dermatology resident humans compete in their 15-minute competition slot on Friday, March 17th. When the registration link opens they can select their competition time - rounds will run from approximately 9 am to 3 pm.
- The Friday competition time slot options may overlap with review courses — in the past, teams have stepped away from the review course to compete and are back in the review course about 20 minutes later.
- Teams who advance in the first rounds on Friday will need to be present to compete on Saturday — rounds will again run from approximately 9 am to 3 pm.
- Teams may have more than 4 members — but only 4 members can compete at a time. A single team captain will need to be designated who can organize fellow team members.
- The competition will use an elimination bracket design. Sign-up will be limited to the first 32 teams who register. We will have a wait list in case any teams need to drop out.
What's the prize?
The winning team will receive a $5000 educational grant and dermatoscopes for up to 4 participating team members as generously provided by DermLite.
