How does it work? US residency programs compete against one another on providing the correct diagnosis based on seeing dermoscopic images displayed on a screen in DermLite AAD booth 1928. Sign up now
Teams can have up to 4 live dermatology resident humans compete in their 15-minute competition slot on Friday, March 17th. When the registration link opens they can select their competition time - rounds will run from approximately 9 am to 3 pm.
The Friday competition time slot options may overlap with review courses — in the past, teams have stepped away from the review course to compete and are back in the review course about 20 minutes later.
Teams who advance in the first rounds on Friday will need to be present to compete on Saturday — rounds will again run from approximately 9 am to 3 pm.
Teams may have more than 4 members — but only 4 members can compete at a time. A single team captain will need to be designated who can organize fellow team members.
The competition will use an elimination bracket design. Sign-up will be limited to the first 32 teams who register. We will have a wait list in case any teams need to drop out.
What's the prize? The winning team will receive a $5000 educational grant and dermatoscopes for up to 4 participating team members as generously provided by DermLite.
